sᴇʀɪᴇs: Tales of the Abyss
ᴄᴀɴᴏɴ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ: End of game, just as he vanishes after freeing Lorelei.
ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: He has recently come to terms with his own identity. It took quite some time, but he finally managed to accept himself as a real person-and not merely a replica. Ever since he set his mind to becoming a better person (and to make up for all of the horrible things he has done), Luke has become more aware of other people's feelings. If he feels his actions are going to harm a person (that he does not have to fight/kill)-emotionally or physically, he will attempt to find another way to go about it. If he knows he did something wrong, it will tend to eat away at him until he apologizes profusely.
He is new to apologizing and apparently it is written in his mind to make up for lost time doing so. ♥ He tends to do whatever he can to help people, now. He seems to very much enjoy it, somehow.
Luke fon Fabre is incredibly loyal. If ever he considers a person to be a friend, he will assist/help them in any way possible. However, this does not mean that he will simply let them do whatever they want to. If he feels they are going down the wrong path-or even that they are simply being too much of a jerk, he will make it known to them that they should perhaps reconsider their actions/words.
His downside is that he is fairly gullible and naive, at times. Even with what growing up he has done!
Naturally, he is still learning himself. After all, he has really only been alive since the original Luke fon Fabre (Asch the Bloody) was six years old. He is a typical young adult, now, thanks to his friends. In a matter of a few short years, he has learned (along with Natalia) to be more than just a spoiled noble. This is why he can be considered a quick learner. He has learned sword moves overnight and recipes in a matter of... simply reading the piece of paper/page of book.
He is incredibly easy to read, considering he is not a very good liar. His conscience tends to get in the way of him hiding the truth or telling lies. Even if he does manage to hide the truth from someone, he sort of unconsciously makes it obvious to anyone that knows him. This is especially shown when Luke's friends reveal to him that they all knew, all along, that the replica was hiding the fact that he was going to disappear. He also never manages to hide the truth from Tear. When confronted by her, he immediately tells her the truth about his fonons separating.
He gets annoyed by cute things, it seems; though, he has very much improved in that aspect (he is much nicer to Mieu, than he used to be).
As of right now, Luke has no idea what is going on. He is very much confused by the fact that he disappeared, then reappeared beside some tree. Honestly, he is wondering if this is some sort of afterlife; and, if not, how he is even alive.
sᴀᴍᴘʟᴇ: There is a bit of fear squeezing at his stomach as he is being lowered toward the center of the planet, surrounded by what appears to be a giant blue bubble. Tear's words ring loudly in his mind as he stares down, watching crumbled earth fall to the darkness below.
“You have to come home. You have to! I'll be waiting... always.”
To which, he had replied, “I will. I promise... I'll come home.”
Why had he made that promise? Deep down, Luke knows that there is an unlikely chance of him ever returning home. The thought of letting her down... It is almost too much, for him to bear. A sad look is on his face, now. He has only a second left to look sad, however. As he slowly looks up, he catches the glimpse of a familiar figure falling towards him. His eyes widen even more as the figure comes closer and he realizes who it is.
Asch...
The original Luke fon Fabre lands on the bubble-like force field surrounding the replica, before slowly slipping through it. This, in turn, gives the short-haired man ample time to put his arms out and brace for impact. Even bracing himself, unfortunately, the lifeless body is still almost too much weight for him. Perhaps it is that he was never fully prepared for the dead weight... Luke pauses, the body being held firmly by his arms. The weight is the furthest thing from his mind, now. He has a rather pained expression on his face. Green eyes stare at the face that had once made him sick to his stomach, half expecting Asch's eyes to open and an all-too-familiar glare to appear on the now unnervingly empty face. There is no movement. No breathing. No... anything. Luke's expression falters just a bit, another sad one appearing momentarily.
What appears to be a large flame in the shape of a man suddenly appears, breaking the short-haired man from his thoughts. Despite the sudden appearance, there is no fear within the replica. Somehow, he immediately understands who this is... This is Lorelei. The one he finally freed.
"You have done admirably."
The words bring a smile to Luke's face, as he glances down at Asch. He thinks to himself, "No, we did admirably. All of us."
Lorelei swirls around the two and Luke can feel the power of the being all around him. It is almost overwhelming, but Luke can feel happiness in his heart. He understands what is happening, now. The world is being restored. He closes his eyes, a calm expression on his face as he does so.
Suddenly, everything goes black.
"You have to come home!"
A dream? The dull light softly pierces his eyes, as he attempts to open them. The pain in his neck from the hard root of a pillow is a bit much to wake up to (especially when you are incredibly confused about where you are). He attempts to hold his head steady (in hopes of minimizing the pain a bit) as he stands, only to realize his neck is not the only part of his body that is stiff and painful to move: his back, shoulder (only the one he was sleeping on), and hip (on the same side as said shoulder) are giving him a rough time.
"O-ow..." Are you supposed to be able to feel pain in the afterlife? A frown of confusion appears on the red head's face. He blinks to help his eyes adjust as he begins examining the area around him. Unfortunately, he is unable to learn much from roots and dirt. A sigh escapes his lips and he scratches the back of his head. Well, he might as well begin walking...
